Tottenham Hotspur head to Norway for their second Champions League group stage contest against Bodo/Glimt at Aspmyra Stadion on Tuesday night.
Thomas Frank’s side got off to a winning start in Europe’s premier tournament as Luiz Junior’s fourth-minute own goal helped them claim a narrow 1-0 win against Villarreal.
Spurs will have to step things up when they take on the Norwegian champions, who have already thrown down the gauntlet ahead of Tuesday’s battle.
Frank has a couple of injury issues to worry about, but he’ll be hoping he has enough firepower to make it back-to-back wins in the Champions League.
How Tottenham could line up
Guglielmo Vicario is expected to keep his place between the sticks, but there could be a few changes ahead of him.
Pedro Porro was left out of the starting line-up in the disappointing 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.
But he should be reinstated at right-back against Bodo, with Djed Spence likely to start on the left in favour of Destiny Udogie.
Frank decided against taking Cristian Romero on the trip to Norway as a precaution, so Kevin Danso is set to step in for the Tottenham captain alongside Micky van de Ven.
There should also be a few changes in midfield. Pape Matar Sarr looked to be in good shape, so the 23-year-old could return to the starting XI to partner Joao Palhinha at the expense of Rodrigo Bentancur.
Palhinha was the hero for Spurs last weekend, combining with Sarr to score a last-minute equaliser.
Lucas Bergvall is expected to continue in his new number 10 role, although he could be flanked by Wilson Odobert and Brennan Johnson in place of Xavi Simons and Mohammed Kudus.
Kudus and Simons were far from their sparkling best against Wolves and could be handed a breather.
Meanwhile, Richarlison will continue to lead the line with Dominic Solanke set to undergo surgery to fix his ankle injury.
Randal Kolo Muani is also struggling to shake off a dead leg, while Mathys Tel wasn’t registered for the Champions League group stage.
Predicted XI;
(4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Palhinha; Johnson, Bergvall, Odobert; Richarlison.
