After booking a place in the 2024/25 Europa League final in Bilbao, Spain, Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon.
The North Londoners clinched a routine 5-1 win against Bodo/Glimt to set up a Europa League final against Manchester United later this month.
For now, Ange Postecoglou’s side will be keen to stop their Premier League rot as they host capital rivals Crystal Palace this weekend.
Spurs have won just one of their last nine league games and are winless in their last four in a row ahead of Sunday’s contest.
How Tottenham could line up
Postecoglou is optimistic that captain Son Heung-Min could feature in Sunday’s derby.
The South Korean forward missed Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League semi-final second-leg win over Bodo/Glimt due to a foot injury.
While Postecoglou admitted he is only “half hopeful” of Son’s involvement, the winger could be given limited minutes with the Europa League final on the horizon.
To avoid risking Son, Postecoglou may turn to teenage talent Mikey Moore, who is in line for a starting role.
Fellow youngsters Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert are also expected to feature in a youthful attack, as Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson, and Richarlison are likely to be rested.
In midfield, injuries to Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison could see Dejan Kulusevski continue in the advanced role, while Rodrigo Bentancur should remain at the base.
Pape Sarr could be favoured over Yves Bissouma to inject energy.
The backline could also see a few tweaks. Postecoglou could name the same back four that drew West Ham United, with Djed Spence and Archie Gray lining up on either side of Kevin Danso and Ben Davies.
Guglielmo Vicario will likely be the only survivor of a much-changed Spurs line-up against Palace later today.
Predicted XI:
(4-3-3): Vicario; Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence; Kulusevski, Bentancur, Sarr; Odobert, Tel, Moore
