Tottenham to battle Arsenal for Brazilian star

Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race alongside North London rivals Arsenal in the quest to sign Gremio forward Luan Vieira, according to TRANSFERmarketWEB.

The 24-year-old has attracted the attention of Spurs, the Gunners and also Liverpool with several fine performances in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A this season.

The Brazilian playmaker has featured in 25 league games this campaign, netting six times and providing three assists for the Immortal’s.

Vieira is known for his trickery and ability to provide moments of magic as well as being a versatile attacker who can play across the midfield and in a sole striking role.

Aside from the dynamic forward’s skill, this adaptability is something that is believed to have caught Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s eye – with the Argentine often dependant on his players holding a variety of positions throughout the season.

It is thought the 45-year-old will be able to secure the services of his fellow South American for around £13million this summer.
