Tottenham to offer star another new deal to restrain La Liga interest

Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer star Dele Alli his third new deal in 16 months to deter interest from European giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, according to the Daily Mirror.

The England international signed a revised contract in September of last year in the region of the £55,000 per week keeping the Spurs man at White Hart Lane until 2022.

However, the North London club are now preparing to double that to secure the future of their midfield sensation.

The new offer will reportedly run until 2023, with the attacking playmaker guaranteed £40million over that period – taking Alli to a similar wage bracket to that of Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris.

The Englishman has been an imperative cog in Mauricio Pochettino’s successful machine – netting 20 goals during 55 appearances in all competitions as well as provided six assists.

The 21-year-old’s consistent impressive displays has helped fire Tottenham to second-place in Premier League and all but secured Champions League football for next season as well as the FA Cup semi final.

However, these star performances have also attracted the attention of Spanish Galacticos Real Madrid – who coaxed Spurs hero Gareth Bale from White Hart Lane to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in 2013 for a then world record fee of £85.5m.

Both Los Blancos and Barcelona are prepared to match that enormous fee for Alli, but Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy will hope that this new deal will ensure their key-man remains at the North London club for the foreseeable future.
