Tottenham agree £12.5m fee for 22-year-old attacking star

Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a provisional £12.5million summer deal for Galatasaray winger Bruma, according to Turkish-Football.

A source close to the Super Lig club stated that an informal agreement had been reached between the two sides, however personal terms are yet to be discussed.

The 22-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal at the Turk Telekom Arena, with contract talks stalling due to the Lions being reluctant to match the Portugal international’s demands of around £40,000 per week.

The pacey winger has played a key role for the Turkish giants this term – featuring 25 times in all competitions for the third-placed outfit, netting eight times and providing six assists.

It is expected that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino will strengthen heavily again this summer, with a keen eye on improvement in the Champions League after the North London club’s poor showing this campaign.

Bruma could be seen as a replacement for midfielder Erik Lamela, who is unlikely to feature again for Tottenham after picking up a season-ending hip injury.

The Premier League high-flyers will face competition for the signature of the talented attacker however, with Manchester United also monitoring the Galatasaray star.
