Tottenham left-back Ben Davies has admitted that the team was disappointed not to record all three points against Everton on Sunday.
A first-half strike by Spurs old boy Aaron Lennon gave the hosts the lead against the run of play, with the Welsh full-back almost opening the scoring with a thunderous effort that rattled Tim Howard’s crossbar.
Davies admits that the side were happy with the manner of the performance at Goodison Park but unhappy with just a point.
“The performance was good, we had a game plan, it worked in the first half and we were unlucky not to score a few more goals and kill it off,” he told the club’s official website.
“The first half was excellent. We knew exactly what we were doing and how we wanted to play.
“That’s the way we have to go forward, our mentality was spot on and we have to come to places like Everton looking to pick up three points, not settling for a point and that’s why we’re all disappointed.”
