Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon have been permitted by Tottenham Hotspur to miss their pre-season tour of Asia as they look for new clubs.
Spurs took flight to Asia today for their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, which includes fixtures against Vissel Kobe, K League All-Stars, and Bayern Munich.
However, there were some notable absentees from the list of travelling players. Some players will be away due to international duties, injuries, and transfers.
Gil and Reguilon stayed in North London to explore a transfer away from the club. The Spanish duo are surplus to requirements at the club. They want to use the exit door.
Gil started only two Premier League games last term, and the 23-year-old failed to score a goal or provide an assist. He has continued to look lost in a Spurs jersey and now is the time to move him on. Girona have opened talks with Tottenham for Gil.

Reguilon has spent the last two seasons away from the club on loan, but Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, and Brentford refused to sign him permanently. The 27-year-old now has to find a new landing spot.
Interestingly, right-back Emerson Royal was included in the squad for the trip even though he is allowed to leave this summer with AC Milan keen on his services.
Spurs have rejected one bid from the Rossoneri, but the Serie A giants will likely return for his signature.
Tottenham need to raise cash to fund their Eberechi Eze move
Crystal Palace attacker Eberechi Eze is reportedly one of Spurs’ top targets this summer, but the Eagles value their fleet-footed playmaker at £68 million.
Tottenham will have to raise funds for the Eze move by selling all the fringe players this summer, including Gil and Reguilon.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is set to move to Marseille on a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option. Richarlison is attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League. Tottenham must secure funds from these player sales to swoop for their targets.
