Mauricio Pochettino has appeared to commit his future to Tottenham Hotspur by claiming that his head is ‘100%’ with the club.
The Argentine boss has led Spurs to successive top-three finishes in the Premier League and this season has taken four points from holders Real Madrid in the Champions League group stages.
That has led to increased rumblings that Pochettino would be offered one of Europe’s biggest jobs, but he insists that he is fully concentrated on matters in North London.
“Today, Tottenham is in my head 100%,” the 45-year-old told The Guardian.
“Today, I do not change Tottenham for another position in the world because I am so involved, so focused.
“The club deserves to have people that think only about the club, the fans, the players and the structures – and they provide us with an unbelievable life.”
Fans of the Lilywhites will no doubt be delighted to hear that the inspirational trainer is going nowhere for the time being.
Under Pochettino’s stewardship, Tottenham have gone from top-six contenders to genuine Premier League challengers, whilst the progress made in the Champions League this term has been nothing short of exceptional.
Spurs have already qualified for the knockout stages from a group that includes holders Madrid as well as 2013-finalists Borussia Dortmund.
With international fixtures to come over the next fortnight, Pochettino’s men are next in action on November 18 when they travel to long-standing rivals Arsenal.
