Leeds United targeting a move for Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp

Leeds United are reportedly eyeing a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Oliver Skipp.

This is according to a report from Football London who claim Leeds manager Daniel Farke is keen on a reunion with the 23-year-old.

Skipp is one of the best talents to have emerged from the Lilywhites’ academy. He earned his senior debut in 2018 and went on to make over 100 appearances for the North Londoners over the years.

The midfielder featured in 21 Premier League games last term but started on five occasions only.

He is contracted with Spurs until 2027 but the English club could decide to cash in on him this summer.

They missed out on a Champions League berth last season after finishing fifth in the league table.

Manager Ange Postecoglou will aim for a comeback in 2024-25 by bolstering his ranks in the ongoing Premier League summer transfer window

They look in need of a top-class striker as well as a full-back, and so they could move on fringe players to raise funds for new recruits.

Skipp is very young and talented who mainly plays as a defensive midfielder, but it makes sense if Spurs decide to sell the 23-year-old this summer.

The English footballer wants to play regular football but is unlikely to get that at Tottenham.

He has played under Daniel Farke at Norwich City during his loan spell in 2020-21, and is said to be keen to reunite with his former boss at Leeds.
