Lille want to sign Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky on loan

Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille want Tottenham Hotspur star Antonin Kinsky to replace Paris Saint-Germain-bound goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.

Per L’Equipe, “Lille’s top target is Kinsky, with a loan deal currently being negotiated with Tottenham.”

Kinsky arrived at Tottenham in January and turned heads in his first few games, showing authority in his box, making decent stops, and distributing excellently.

Dominic Solanke hailed Kinsky’s performance in the League Cup win versus Liverpool in the League Cup as ‘phenomenal’. Former boss Ange Postecoglou also had massive praise for him.

Unfortunately, as the Czech Republic ace began to enter his stride, Guglielmo Vicario returned from his injury lay-off and took the starting berth.

Kinsky spent most of the season struggling to reclaim his place in the XI, and it didn’t prove easy. A loan move could be on the cards for the 22-year-old as he looks to keep growing professionally.

Vicario is the first choice, and Brandon Austin has proven himself a worthy understudy. Kinsky should go and garner experience in France. It bodes well that Lille came forward for his signature.

Lille signed Mike Maignan, who developed into one of the best goalkeepers in Europe.

Their current shot-stopper is considered one of the best in France and has long been tipped for a big move.

They seemingly have eyes for excellent goalkeepers, and Kinsky would be in great hands there.

However, Tottenham fans must agree that the club could part ways with Kinsky if his loan to France proves successful (View).

Vicario is only 28, still young for a goalkeeper, and will establish himself as the first-choice goalie under new boss Thomas Frank. Kinsky won’t be keen on continuing as the second option.

Meanwhile, Tottenham released the squad list for the pre-season tour of Asia yesterday, announcing that Mikey Moore, Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett stayed behind to pursue loan exits.
