Tottenham Hotspur could be in line for a tidy profit this summer as interest intensifies around Israeli winger Manor Solomon.
According to Sky France’s Sacha Tavolieri, French giants Olympique Marseille are showing interest in Solomon ahead of the summer transfer window.
Solomon spent the season on loan at Leeds United. He joined Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2023 but struggled to make his mark at the highest level.
The forward is valued at €12 million (£10m) on Transfermarkt. If he leaves Spurs, the North Londoners could pocket a decent sum for a player who cost them nothing two years ago.
Solomon is not in Tottenham’s long-term plans even after thriving in his loan spell at Elland Road.
A summer exit is all but written in stone, but it remains to be seen if Leeds will move to keep him, with Marseille stepping up their interest.
The Ligue 1 side have sent scouts to watch Solomonn several times this season. He played a crucial role in Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League.
Solomon notched 10 goals and 12 assists in 39 Championship games, accounting for nearly a quarter of Leeds’ goals this season.
The Yorkshire club haven’t ruled out a permanent move for Solomon, but they have to move fast with Marseille in the mix.
The French side have already held discussions with Solomon’s representatives to negotiate personal terms.
There hasn’t been any official contact between Spurs and Marseille, but the North Londoners are open to selling Solomon for the right price.
Tottenham are expected to be very busy in the transfer market this summer.
They want to strengthen every department of Ange Postecoglou’s squad, although their spending spree could start after they have finalised the fate of their manager.
There are reports that Postecoglou could leave Tottenham even if he delivers the Europa League title after overseeing one of the worst domestic campaigns in the club’s history.
For now, the focus is on the showpiece in San Mames where they’ll face Premier League rivals Manchester United for the Europa League title.
