Mauricio Pochettino avoids Barcelona talk

Mauricio Pochettino has stated he is “very happy” at Tottenham Hotspur and avoided any talk of him potentially moving to Barcelona.

The Argentinian manager has been linked with the job at Camp Nou, with current boss Luis Enrique under an enormous amount of pressure.

The pressure on the Spaniard has intensified after the Catalan side lost their Champions League last-16 first-leg tie against Paris Saint Germain 4-0 and are currently sitting second in La Liga, a point behind main rivals Real Madrid, having played two more matches.

Pochettino has refused to get involved in the speculation and insisted his happy in London.

“I can’t say anything about that,” he said, according to FourFourTwo.

“I’m at Tottenham. I am very happy, I have four more years on my contract, I’m enjoying an exciting project.

“It’s true it’s not an easy project, but I’m very happy here.”

Tottenham fans will undoubtedly be happy to hear the news and hope Pochettino can push Spurs on further with their Premier League title charge.

The North London side were disappointing in defeat to Gent in the Europa League on Thursday night, with a chance to get back on track against Fulham in the FA Cup this weekend.
