Mikey Moore hires new reps amid Borussia Dortmund interest in Tottenham gem

The 2025 summer transfer window will likely be busy for Tottenham Hotspur despite owners ENIC refusing to inject cash into the club’s coffers for the needed rebuild.

Spurs must plug vital holes in the squad and may need to sell players to balance the books. Suitors are already moving pieces to get their targets to sign on the dotted line.

Atletico Madrid have been signalling interest in Tottenham defender Cristian Romero, while Manchester City sounded out Destiny Udogie.

Another player attracting interest is young winger Mikey Moore.

Earlier this week, reports from Germany revealed that Moore was on Borussia Dortmund’s transfer shortlist. He is not a priority, but they have been monitoring the precocious starlet.

However, The Telegraph disclosed today that Moore changed representatives amid that worrying development.

The 17-year-old Spurs attacker has signed with Unique Sports Group (USG) as new reps.

Moore still has two years left on the three-year contract he signed last year. Tottenham fans will hope this change of agencies is to help him with a new Spurs deal and not facilitate a move away.

The England youth international has enjoyed a breakout season, and Spurs should not be entertaining the idea of selling the winger.

Given the rising interest in several squad members, Tottenham will inevitably face tough decisions this summer.

But in our view, offloading the likes of Richarlison, Yves Bissouma, Bryan Gil, and Sergio Reguilon should provide enough leeway to support targeted reinforcements.

Romero will also leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if the right offer comes, given his patchy discipline and constant flirting with a return to Spain.

Selling Moore, whom Postecoglou praised as exciting after his performance against AZ Alkmaar, would be short-sighted.

Letting go of a homegrown talent like him to make up the numbers would be a morale-crushing move.

Financial pragmatism is necessary, but not at the cost of ambition. Spurs can balance the books without burning their future.
