Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to open talks with chairman Daniel Levy regarding potential transfer targets that could strengthen the club, according to The Telegraph.
The Spurs boss is on track to guide the North London team into the Champions League for a second consecutive season, despite the fact their transfer budget, for fees and wages, is significantly less than their rivals.
It is understood that the Argentine wishes to add more options to his squad by bringing in the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Ross Barkley and Andre Gray and is prepared to persuade Levy to get on board with his plans.
Whilst Pochettino’s team have performed exceptionally, the lack of depth has been exposed at times this season with the injuries to key players Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele and Danny Rose.
The Lilywhites failed to qualify from the group stages of the Champions League and were also recently eliminated from the Europa League but their status in the Premier League remains strong as they sit second after beating Everton on the weekend.
