Posteocoglou confirms Kulusevski is ‘okay’ after injury concern in Tottenham loss v Palace

It was yet another disappointing day at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs sank to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has led Tottenham to 20 Premier League defeats this season, the most of any Spurs gaffer since 1992. The team sits above the relegation zone.

The less said of the game, the better. However, there is one slight bit of good news after the tie.

In the 16th minute, Tottenham attacker Dejan Kulusevski went down and even though he tried to shake the knock off, he came off three minutes later, giving fans a massive concern.

Spurs have a Europa League final against Manchester United to navigate, and without James Maddison, it is already a tough ask. An injury to Kulusevski would have been a brutal blow.

Thankfully, Postecoglou confirmed that the situation is not as serious as fans first feared when Kulusevski limped off the field.

The Australian tactician said (via Football London): “He should be ok. Just talking to him after. The medical team are not too concerned about him. It was just a knock.”

Even though Kulusevski has not been up to par in his recent showings, fans will be relieved to hear that the Swede is okay.

Wilson Odobert played the number 10 role today and did not particularly light up the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs must raise their performance levels for the final – Opinion

If this listless outing against Crystal Palace was anything to go by, Tottenham’s hopes in the Europa League final look grim.

The Palace game was a spineless showing. It was flat, disjointed, and alarmingly devoid of urgency. With Man United looming on the horizon, a performance like this will not cut it.

Too many players looked disinterested. The press was half-hearted, the build-up play was painfully slow, and the defensive shape crumbled under even the slightest pressure.

If Spurs are to salvage their season with silverware, the mentality must change fast. Every player must show hunger, intensity, and belief in the system.

The final is a defining moment. Tottenham cannot afford another no-show.
