Rabiot comments lead to Tottenham link resurfacing

Tottenham Hotspur could be about to renew their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot after suggesting he could be open to a move in the summer, according to The Mirror.

The 21-year-old is a graduate of the French champions’ academy and has been in impressive form this season for Unai Emery’s side.

Spurs are well-documented in their interest for the France under-21 international after they reportedly made a failed loan attempt for the player two years ago, however with the news of a potential move away from Parc des Princes, Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be on high-alert.

With Rabiot suggesting a move in the future, it may still be difficult to prize the midfielder away from Paris. The player still has two years on his current deal and admitted he is in no rush.

“I am under contract until 2019 and I do not think that I am in a rush,” he is quoted as saying.

“If there are offers from big clubs, that obviously demands that they are considered.

“Clubs like Real Madrid, they are great clubs but, truly, the most important thing is the present and I am concentrating on what I am doing right now, that is the best thing to do.”

The midfielder has enjoyed a very successful time in Paris, winning four consecutive Ligue 1 titles, the Coupe de France twice and the Coupe de la Ligue three times.

He has also become an important player and starred in the 4-0 drubbing of Barcelona in the Round of 16 stage of the Champions League.
