Report: Tottenham make move for South American striker, chances of signing him good

Tottenham Hotspur have reignited their interest in Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose and have a good chance of signing the 28-year-old Brazilian forward, according to El Desmarque

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire for the club to add another attacking option to his squad before the transfer window closes, with plenty of names listed as possible targets.

Tottenham were reportedly close to signing Jose in the January transfer market, only for the deal to fall through at the last minute.

The latest report suggests Spurs have restarted negotiations to land the South American, with the likelihood that the striker will end up in North London in the next few weeks.

It adds that the player remains keen on a move to Tottenham and Sociedad are willing to part company with the attacker.

Spurs are short of out-and-out strikers, with only Harry Kane to pick from currently.

Tottenham started their 2020-21 Premier League season in disappointing fashion on Sunday, losing 1-0 to Everton in a tepid display.
