Richarlison to meet with Tottenham hierarchy in the coming weeks to discuss future

The 2025 summer transfer window is pivotal for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs need an overhaul of the roster to avoid the horror that befell the club this season.

Tottenham sit in 14th place on the Premier League table, having crashed out of the League and FA Cup. The Europa League is the only chance to salvage something from this season. Even then, Spurs aren’t playing with enough conviction to give their fans any hope.

Several players must leave the club this summer, while the North Londoners should ideally bring in more quality through the transfer market, bidding to end their 17-year wait for a trophy.

One Tottenham player who might be on the chopping block is striker Richarlison. The Brazilian international has flopped following his big-money move from Everton.

According to a report from Diario AS, Richarlison will meet with the Spurs hierarchy in the coming weeks to hash out his future. Brazilian clubs are interested in his services, but he wants to stay in Europe.

Per the report, a return home is not entirely ruled out, as there aren’t many forthcoming European suitors.

Injuries have blighted his time at Tottenham, and he has been unable to deliver the goods. Richarlison has a measly three goals in 14 appearances this term. He has managed only 18 in 80 outings for Spurs.

Tottenham must be ruthless this summer. They should sell Richarlison after his underwhelming stint. His lack of consistency, poor injury record, and minimal goal return no longer justify a place in the squad.

Spurs need fresh blood – players with hunger and upside. Young strikers like Liam Delap, with raw potential, or Jonathan David, with a proven scoring touch in Europe, would inject new energy into the Tottenham attack.

The rebuild cannot begin in earnest while holding on to expensive underperformers. It is time to move on from Richarlison, who earns £90k a week and build a forward line to compete with the elites.
