Spurs set to offer improved deal to Luka Vuskovic

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to offer Luka Vuskovic a significantly improved contract as the club looks to secure the future of one of the most coveted young defenders in world football, with Europe’s elite circling ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old Croatian reportedly earns a little over €10,000 per week, a figure that does not reflect his current status in the game and one that Spurs are determined to rectify.

Any new deal would represent a substantial upgrade and serve as a clear statement of intent from a club determined to keep one of its brightest prospects.

Vuskovic is already attracting serious transfer interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona, following an impressive 2025-26 season on loan at Hamburg, where he has developed into one of the Bundesliga’s standout defenders.

Should Tottenham be persuaded to the negotiating table, talks would only begin at a bid in the €60 million to €70 million range. With his current contract running until June 2030, the North Londoners retain total leverage in any negotiations.

Vuskovic has scored five goals in 25 appearances this season, showcasing his aerial dominance, composure in possession, and ability to contribute in the attacking third.

His return will provide a vital boost for Roberto De Zerbi as Tottenham face a summer of upheaval in defence, with Cristian Romero linked with a move away and veteran Ben Davies likely to depart upon the expiration of his contract.

Vuskovic recently returned to action after an injury layoff and is expected to be on the plane to North America later this year for the 2026 World Cup.
