Juventus have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario on an initial loan deal, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
While Spurs initially sought a permanent transfer or an obligatory purchase option to guarantee a substantial return on their investment in the 29-year-old, the club ultimately showed flexibility to accommodate Vicario’s desire to return to Italy.
The goalkeeper actively pushed for the move to Turin, seeking guaranteed first-team football to get his career back on track.
The agreement with Spurs ends Juventus’ summer search for a new first-choice goalkeeper.

From Tottenham’s perspective, Vicario’s exit is a key part of Roberto De Zerbi’s squad overhaul after the Spurs manager made 23-year-old Antonin Kinsky the starting keeper.
To add experience behind Kinsky, Martin Dubravka was signed as a back-up, making Vicario surplus to requirements in North London.
Vicario joined Tottenham from Empoli in 2023 for €20m, quickly earning fan acclaim for his shot-stopping and playing a key role in Spurs’ Europa League triumph in 2025.
However, the Italian international has lost his number one berth and is now set to undergo a medical and complete his move to the Allianz Stadium in the coming days.
