Tottenham Hotspur remain without any new signing this summer, with less than a week left in the summer window.

Despite this, plenty of other Premier League sides have been strengthening their squads, with London rivals Crystal Palace landing German midfielder Max Meyer on a free transfer.

The playmaker has been available all-summer long after leaving Schalke and Tottenham have been linked with him in the past.

However, there have been reports that Meyer’s wage demands are astronomical, with Palace reportedly paying him £170,000 per week.

Add to this the player’s acrimonious exit from Schalke and Tottenham may have been put off by the German’s attitude.

However, with Meyer clearly an able player and available for free, some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan the club not looking into signing him.

With doubts over Mousa Dembele’s future and strength in depth an issue, the Tottenham supporters are frustrated by the lack of business – and voiced their concerns after Meyer was confirmed as a Palace player.
