Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Hull defender Harry Maguire in the summer, according to The Daily Star.
Spurs’ latest interest in the defender could spark a potential bidding war for the centre-back, who is valued at around £15 million and being linked with both Everton and Southampton also.
Mauricio Pochettino is looking at alternative defensive options if crucial centre-back duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen were to both pick up injuries again, like they have done so far this season.
Whilst it is understood that Kevin Wimmer’s future at the London club remains uncertain.
Maguire is a versatile defender who would slot into Spurs’ formation with ease having performed well in both three at the back and a back four.
The 23-year-old first broke onto the scene at Sheffield United before moving to the Tigers in 2014. He has been an integral part of Marco Silva’s squad having assisted in keeping clean sheets against both Liverpool and Manchester United.
Hull will not want to be rid of such an important player but could be forced to sell as Maguire is out of contract in June 2018.
