The North London club are expected to be active in the transfer window after a tumultuous 2025/26 campaign and have identified Palestra as an ideal tactical fit for Roberto De Zerbi. \
While Spurs have already tied Pedro Porro to a new contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they could still look to bring in another right-sided full-back option.
Having come through the prestigious youth academy in Bergamo, Palestra was a standout performer last season, spending time on loan at Cagliari and being voted the best defender in Serie A.
Using his elite recovery pace and strong duelling skills, Palestra established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the league, attracting significant interest from top clubs across Europe.
Primarily a full-back, the Italian is also comfortable operating higher up the pitch, as demonstrated on multiple occasions last season.
Palestra is under contract until June 2029, and Atalanta are seeking as much as €45 million to sanction a sale. Given La Dea’s proven track record of extracting maximum value for their prized assets, they have no intention of lowering their demands.
With the summer transfer window now officially open, Tottenham are also in preliminary discussions with Palestra’s representatives.
However, Spurs are not the only Premier League club linked with Palestra, who is also wanted by Newcastle United. Serie A champions Inter Milan are also eyeing him as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Denzel Dumfries.
