Tottenham Hotspur eased their way into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after beating Championship team Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
Spurs, who had a Harry Kane hat-trick to thank for progressing to the next round, had beaten Aston Villa and Wycombe Wanderers in the previous rounds of this year’s cup.
The North London side were in need of a win after suffering recent defeats against Liverpool and K.A.A. Gent respectively.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino didn’t take the test of an away trip to Fulham lightly, as he fielded a strong side to avoid the potential of an upset.
Kieran Trippier started in the place of Kyle Walker and made an impressive impact. The defender was involved in the first two of Kane’s goals, finding Christian Eriksen twice to create the opportunities for the striker.
The England international’s final strike came from a pass threaded through the defence from Dele Alli, allowing him to complete his hat-trick and set up a quarter-final tie against London rivals Millwall.
After the game, many of Spurs’ players took to social media to celebrate the win and their progression to the next round.
