Tottenham plot move for Randal Kolo Muani as Juve talks hit a snag

Tottenham Hotspur want Paris Saint-Germain attacker Randal Kolo Muani.

The club has been monitoring the Frenchman for some time, and per Foot Mercato, ‘Tottenham is now weighing in’ with ‘talks underway’.

Kolo Muani is a versatile forward option that bolsters Tottenham’s attack, especially if the club loses Richarlison and captain Son Heung-min this summer.

He can line up as a winger for Spurs or as an out-and-out striker to compete with Dominic Solanke for a starting berth.

The Englishman’s tally of nine Premier League goals after moving for £65 million was disappointing, and Spurs want another competent option for new boss Thomas Frank.

Struggling for game time at PSG, Kolo Muani joined Juventus on loan in January. He bagged eight goals and an assist in 16 Serie A appearances for the Bianconeri.

Juventus want to make the transfer permanent. However, they have been struggling to agree personal terms with the striker.

Also, Juve want another loan deal, which does not entice PSG. The Parisians prefer to sell.

The delay has paved the way for Tottenham to re-enter the frame, and Spurs will push to bring the former Eintracht Frankfurt ace down to north London, with Newcastle United also interested.

The 26-year-old would be a stellar pick-up for Spurs (View), as he can cover multiple attacking positions and push Solanke for the starting berth.

His World Cup final miss and poor stint at PSG have made people forget that he was a sensational prospect at Nantes and Frankfurt. Even Kylian Mbappe admitted he is ‘very complete’.

He began showing his previous levels in the Italian top-flight and can be a lethal weapon under Frank.

If Tottenham can get him for a sensible fee and decent wages that fit into the club’s structure, the club should waste no time getting this deal over the line.
