Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a big-money, last-ditch attempt to sign Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon on transfer deadline day, according to The Mirror.

The Spurs fans are in despair as the window is just over 24 hours from closing and there are yet to be any new faces arrive in North London.

The club’s transfer efforts have seemingly been absorbed in the efforts to land Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, with it remaining to be seen whether Tottenham will land the attacker.

However, the latest report suggest another Championship starlet will be the focus of Spurs’ attentions, with a move for Sessegnon mooted.

The 17-year-old is an incredible talent and won the Championship Player of the Year award last season despite his young age.

Sessegnon has been linked with Tottenham for a long time and would certainly fit the mould for Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

If Daniel Levy could complete a deal for the Fulham youngster on deadline day, all the previous frustrations from the supporters would surely evaporate.

However, the fact that Tottenham continue to leave their business to the last minute is a baffling ploy that adds pressure and gives Pochettino little chance to work with any new arrivals before the Premier League season starts.

With one day remaining, the Spurs fans wait with their fingers crossed.
