Tottenham spark back to life, but Thomas Frank must find consistency

Tottenham Hotspur claimed a resounding 2-0 over Brentford over the weekend, putting an end to a miserable run of one win in eight games.

Spurs’ poor form had led to questions around the future of manager Thomas Frank, but the weekend win assuaged feelings around the Danish tactician.

Tottenham were dominant, sharper, and overpowered Frank’s former side to claim a much-needed win on home soil.

Spurs desperately needed the three points to put an end to their miserable home form and got the job done expertly.

However, Spurs cannot rest on their laurels. Winning every other game is not the issue. They need a consistent run of form under the 52-year-old.

They currently sit in 11th place, four points behind fourth-place Crystal Palace, and must secure maximum points against Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Palace, Brentford, and Sunderland.

The Brentford win was a step in the right direction, but it only matters if it becomes the start of a pattern rather than another isolated spike in performance.

Consistency is a key ingredient Tottenham are missing, and Frank must find a way to bottle it before this season slips away from them.

Spurs have shown in flashes that they can be incisive and aggressive in the key moments, but those qualities have rarely appeared together for long enough to build real momentum.

That has to change quickly. What Tottenham need now is rhythm, a run where the performances match the ambition of a squad that should be operating far higher up the table.

Frank must find a way to maintain intensity across matches, eliminate the sloppy periods that have cost the club points, and establish a structure the team can rely on even on off-days.

The upcoming fixtures are demanding but manageable, and taking control of this stretch is crucial.

If Spurs can stitch together results rather than scatter them, they will finally drag themselves into the upper echelon they believe they belong in.
