Tottenham want attacker and will pay £20m, but no offer yet

Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish this summer and are willing to pay £20 million for the starlet – but have not made an offer as yet, according to The Birmingham Mail.

Spurs fans are waiting to find out how will be arriving at the club over the transfer window, with no new faces signed as yet by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

There has been plenty of speculation linking Tottenham with Grealish this summer, as the North London outfit look to take advantage of Villa’s financial difficulties.

The latest report sets the record straight and should be a cause for concern for Spurs fans.

So often in the past, Daniel Levy has waited until the last minute to make his transfer moves and at times this has resulted in the club missing out on identified targets.

After Pochettino’s new contract, it was expected that the approach would change and the club would be more bullish and forward-thinking in the transfer market.

A summer of speculation without results will infuriate Tottenham’s supporters and will surely not be what the manager had in mind when he committed to the club.

If Spurs want Grealish and feel he can be a player to take them to the next level, it is time to start negotiations and get a deal completed before another Premier League side does or we run out of time.
