Tottenham Hotspur and the final days of a transfer window have a close affinity, with chairman Daniel Levy usually leaving Spurs’ business to the last minute as he looks for value.
With three days left of the month for the North London side to add to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, there is excitement in the terraces.
The Daily Mail today continues the ongoing reporting that Tottenham are interested in Lucas Moura and Malcom, with the Brazilian pair potential new additions at Spurs.
However, the British newspaper name a third player that Pochettino remains keen on bringing to the club – Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.
The Tottenham boss has admitted that adding players mid-season is less than ideal and as such he prefers to recruit in the summer months before new campaigns begin.
This was part of the reason why Spurs bought Dele Alli in a January transfer window but loaned him back to MK Dons until the following summer.
Although the potential signing of Moura, Malcom or both is exciting news, there is a train of thought that concluding a deal for Sessegnon would be the most encouraging piece of business.
With the potential for a bidding war in the summer, agreeing a deal with Fulham now to sign the 17-year-old left-back, and then loaning him back to Fulham for the rest of the season, would be inspired business.
As it worked with Alli, Sessegnon’s impending arrival ahead of next season would give Pochettino his wish of a quality recruit early in the summer and allow the teenager to continue his development at Craven Cottage for the rest of this season.
What I have seen of Malcolm today not worth money being asked Moura yes please he is hungry well worth the money Sessingnon get this lad who is without doubt the best player available by miles if we have to let him stay at Fulham for rest of season ok but this lad is the new Gareth Bale might be better
Dembele from Celtic please
